James’ journey began when, at the age of seven, he moved to Nairobi due to his father’s work in Christian publishing. While James was there, he met several MAF pilots.
With unwavering determination, he later became a licensed pilot, ready to take on the challenges of flying in rugged terrains.
Arnhem Land, Australia, presents a unique set of challenges, with vast expanses of remote landscape and communities cut off from essential services. Fortunately, thanks to our aircraft, the indigenous Yolŋu can enjoy access to medical care, education, critical supplies and the Gospel.
As James prepares to embark on his mission to Arnhem Land in October, he carries with him the technical skills of a pilot, a heart full of compassion for the lost and the lonely, and a commitment to serving others.
Alongside James is his wife Danielle, who shares his passion for serving others. Having trained as a nurse, she hopes to use her skills to care for Arnhem Land’s isolated communities.
